Data researched includes age, gender, employment history, education, awards / certifications, association memberships, board committees, and annual compensation. State-of-the-art web mining agents and a dedicated team of researchers and content specialists perform hundreds of additions, updates, and deletions to the content each business day. SEC filings (forms 10K, 8K, 14A, etc.), annual reports, company websites, newswire filings, third-party databases are utilized as sources for data.
Using our onshore and offshore resources, we take disparate and unstructured information and create well-authored and succinct business abstracts, business descriptions, and profiles. For a leading business information publisher, QDS was asked to write enhanced business descriptions, a project that had failed internal attempts and twice failed outsourcing attempts. Our initial solution was to create these descriptions offshore but found that in order to meet the clients’ strict quality requirements, we revamped the process so that the data is researched in India and the profiles written in the U.S. This has been especially successful and has resulted in QDS exceeding 99.9% quality consistently for longer than 3 years.
QDS assists its customer to be the most trusted source of business insight. QDS processes, help on a daily basis, track and report details of any pending, current or documented suits, liens, and judgments (SLJ’s) against businesses. QDS processes help distinguish business and consumer records and standardize disparate data from hundreds of state courts into a clean, accurate, and structured format that customer loads directly into its proprietary database. This helps our client’s customers to manage the changes impacting their suppliers, vendors, and business partners. QDS also provided certain software applications for the clients use in aggregating SLJ data from court systems that do not provide the information electronically.
QDS has developed and is using smart data entry applications primarily for use internally by its agents. Using third-party databases helps eliminate unnecessary keystrokes and also serves as a source for validating keyed data. One of the clients to whom QDS provides public record content was impressed by the applications and processes that QDS uses in-house and hired QDS to develop data entry software for use by data collectors both in the U.S. and Canada. These data collectors visit various state and municipal courthouses and collect suits, liens, and judgments data using QDS licensed software.
To assist a major Canadian retailer launch a new Affinity Card, QDS processed in excess of 600,000 handwritten application forms from images within 90 days. Our process allowed for split screens for the operators, one half showing the image for capture and the other half being the Input screen for the data capture stage. Data was validated using various reference databases, as well as human QC. For the QC stage, a similar split screen technology was utilized allowing the QC personnel to see the original image and the data that was keyed by the operator, allowing for the most efficient use of QC resources.

QDS was required to validate the conversion of hundreds of thousands of pages of technical drawings and specifications with 99.95% accuracy, using both internally generated QC tools and client-supplied validation tools. A similar project required that QDS validate with 99.95% accuracy our client’s handling of data gathered by the client on behalf of another company.
QDS has processed more than 10 million corporate records for a major publisher matching candidate records to existing client data with more than 99.5% accuracy. QDS has also matched professionals with their state licensing registration information for a major publisher.
QDS has established processes to maintain and provide accurate and in-depth data on K-12 schools, colleges and universities, early childhood and library institutions located in the U.S. Data includes personnel contact information, with special effort to obtain email addresses, course schedules, academic calendar including holiday schedules, and textbook information. The data extraction process uses a sophisticated web mining platform supplemented with QDS’s own exhaustive library of internally-generated tools.
QDS called over 650,000 healthcare provider offices on behalf of several healthcare focused information providers with the object of obtaining updated, or validating existing, provider data.
